The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in an LA Car Crash
The visionary game developer, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The renowned game designer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
