Devoted fans of Ariana Grande are calling for that a individual who jumped a fence and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the individual from Australia pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a promenade surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though court documents indicated that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Numerous followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned guards at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore supporters had queued up to see the cast of Wicked

Many of fans had gathered in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including some who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a dual version of the acclaimed stage musical Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely friendship between two distinct sorceresses.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, winning two for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
