Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match winning run came to an end by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, however will the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against local foes Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against artificial intelligence, readers and a range of special visitors.

For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday soccer side," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for several years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.

The Hammers' sole on the road victory this season came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season began, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.

My son told me to select Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.

Fulham have have lots of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.

Their display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month.

However I am not choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
