In a bizarre partnership that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "An unusual confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.
The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Latest Free Story Addition
This patch also adds the game's third no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
